I graduated from Claremont McKenna College and then Columbia Law School. After working for a few years as an immigration lawyer in downtown San Francisco, my family settled in Oregon, where, in 2007, I started this firm to specialize in estate planning.
I love my job because of the people. The intellectual side of the job taps into my love of logic and complexity (I’m a big fan of puzzles), but it is the people that make me want to come to work every day. In the office, I have the privilege of working with a team of smart and compassionate women.
It is the clients, however, that really make this job rewarding. Over the years, I have learned to live better from my clients. To protect client confidentiality, I cannot relate specific stories, but I can share that there are many ways to live a good life, many ways to raise a family, many ways to care for elderly parents and many ways to live through the heartache of loss. My clients frequently inspire me.
After work, I enjoy my family, traveling, camping, fishing, reading and repairing things.
